Justin was born outside Boston, Massachusetts and moved to New York City upon acquiring a curatorial/editorial position at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Photography had always been a life-long hobby for Justin, and living in New York City allowed him the opportunity to assist such luminary photographers as Nick Knight, Stephane Sednaoui, and Stewart Shining.
